About Algorithm

We forecast with Machine Learning/AI algorithms.

Our algorithms are not only for correct forecasts, but also for maximum gain(profit).

To accomplish the goal, we use mainly 3 algorithms.
- 1. Recurrent Neural Network(RNN)/Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM).
- 2. Genetic Algorithm.
- 3. Last one does NOT have a name yet, since it has been developed by the founder.

By using these 3 algorithms, it takes several hours to create a model, and this would be pre-processed.
This pre-process would happen not everyday. It happens only when it needs.

We do our best to build a great model, and forecasts available only when we have a great and qualified model.

Then, using the created model, AIPickup forecasts direction (UP or DOWN) during a given period and/or long term price.
A forecast for a ticker happens everyday when we have a qualified model.

About return

It is to show gain or loss from the past forecasts.
Total return means 'sum of (1 * gain) or (-1 * loss) from each forecast'.
For example, suppose that AIPickup made the following 5 forecasts.
Forecast1 - stock ABC would be up between 2020-01-13 to 2020-01-20
Forecast2 - stock ABC would be up between 2020-01-14 to 2020-01-21
Forecast3 - stock ABC would be up between 2020-01-15 to 2020-01-22
Forecast4 - stock ABC would be down between 2020-01-16 to 2020-01-23
Forecast5 - stock ABC would be down between 2020-01-17 to 2020-01-24
Then, the result from each forecast is the following.
Result from forecast1 - Stock ABC Up 3.4% between 2020-01-13 to 2020-01-20. The prediction was Up. So, gain is 3.4% from this forecast.
Result from forecast2 - Stock ABC Up 5.2% between 2020-01-14 to 2020-01-21. The prediction was Up. So, gain is 5.2% from this forecast.
Result from forecast3 - Stock ABC DOWN 1.4% between 2020-01-15 to 2020-01-22. The prediction was Up. So, loss is 1.4% from this forecast.
Result from forecast4 - Stock ABC Up 2.3% between 2020-01-16 to 2020-01-23. The prediction was Down. So, loss is 2.3% from this forecast.
Result from forecast5 - Stock ABC Down 3.8% between 2020-01-17 to 2020-01-24. The prediction was Down. So, gain is 3.8% from this forecast.
From the above 5 forecast results, sum of (1 * gain) or (-1 * loss) = (1 * 3.4%) + (1 * 5.2%) + (-1 * 1.4%) + (-1 * 2.3%) + (1 * 3.8%) = 8.7%
Therefore, the 'Total Return' from the above 5 forecasts is 8.7%.
Since there are 5 forecasts, if AIPickup traded stock ABC with the 5 forecasts, 'Avg Trade Return' = 8.7% / 5 = 1.74%
